Professional Women in Building Council

The Capital Region Builders & Remodelers Association (CRBRA) and the Builders & Remodelers Association of Northern New York (BRANNY) are partnering to create the first Professional Women in Building Council (PWB) in New York.

At the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) membership meeting in NYC in September, the Council will be formally accepted into membership.  Act now to become a Charter Member of the first PWB Council in New York!  Contact Dee Dee Enides for an application.  Only completed applications submitted by Aug 2 will be considered Charter Members.

PWB Mission Statement:

The Professional Women in Building Council is dedicated to promoting, enhancing and supporting home building and women within the home building industry. 

We do this by:

• Providing professional development resources to women;
• Encouraging career development for women within the industry;
• Promoting and supporting active involvement in the political and legislative process;
• Promoting and supporting community involvement;
• Providing recognition of member industry achievement;
• Providing resource information and support for members; and
• Providing added value for our members. 

2010 Goals:

1. Membership goal: 30
2. Partner with at least one other organization and hold one outreach event this year
3. Hold one educational seminar this year
4. Coordinate a joint mixer with NWIC (National Women in Construction)
5. Hold a fundraising event before year end
6. Establish an active Government Affairs Committee
